Embroidery on ribbed tank tops

Posted by sewmichelle on

I just finished embroidering these two tank tops with the GiGi Alpha from Planet Applique isn't the alpha adorable?  I love the double effect.

I used Floriani's No Show Fusible Mesh first to stabilize the fabric and then once the embroidering was all done I ironed on tender touch (or Floriani has their own version - Dream Weave) on the back so it would be soft against the skin.

If you haven't used these products yet, you should really check them out.  They are what Target and Walmart are using on the back of embroidery for baby's clothes and it really makes a difference on your finished product and a much better wearing experience for the people who get your beautiful projects.

  • Very cute! I’d love to have one that said panthers in a tshirt instead of tank. You want to sell one? lol

  • Very cute! Now I want that font!! Love the no-show mesh stabilizer and the soft cover backing. They make for a great finished product.

  • I love the font too and I was even able to decrease the size of the lettering without causing any distortion. Planet Applique does a great job at digitizing! I know I keep plugging them but I swear I am NOT on their payroll! Just a great site!
